What we collect, and why
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how this site is used, which pages get read, how visitors arrive, what they're looking at on what devices. This is so we can write better articles and structure the site sensibly. We've configured Google Analytics with IP-address anonymisation turned on, which means Google truncates your IP before storing it, we never see your full IP. Google's documentation describes this as a privacy-protective feature.
What Google Analytics records on a typical visit:
- The pages you view, in order, with timestamps.
- How you got here, direct URL, search engine, social link, or other referral.
- The country / region (derived from your IP before truncation).
- Browser type, OS, screen size, language preference.
- Whether you're a new or returning visitor (using a first-party cookie).
Google Analytics does not tell us who you are personally, there is no name, email, or contact detail attached to a visit. The studio uses the aggregated data to make editorial and design decisions.
Contact form
If you email us via the address on the contact page, the message lands in our inbox the same way any email does. We use that data only to reply to you and (if a project goes ahead) to communicate about that project. We don't sell, share, or pass contact details to third parties.
